Workbook #4: Visitors, V.2

Visitors, Version 2 is the second of a two-part projects, which includes this workbook. The focus of this workbook is explore the ways in which ideas about home contribute to our sense of care for the planet. This workbook is scheduled to be published March 2024.

Workbook #3: Visitors, V.1

Visitors, version 1 is the first of a 2-part series of workbooks, art lessons, and art exhibitions that will be presented in the Spring of 2023. This community project will focus on the interconnectedness of humans and nature through the lens of natural systems that support life on this planet. People are essentially visitors on Earth, and no one person is responsible for the environment; however, we all have a unique relationship with it. Therefore, a collective effort must be cultivated to respect and care for nature.

Workbook #2: Picture Me Here

The goal of this workbook is to expose the community to a diverse group of contemporary artists. This workbook will be given out to 325 students at Wrightwood Elementary and used as a tool in along with art assemblies for the entire school. The project also includes an adult workshop and exhibition at Wrightwood Arts Center on April 30th, 2022.

Workbook #1: A Mindfulness Drawing Tool for Teens

The goal of this workbook is to look at drawing exercises through the lens of mindfulness. Both drawing and mindfulness are practices that can help with coping and emotional regulation, no matter who you are, where you live, or what you’re going through. The workbook and suggestions are not a substitute for therapy. Please see the list of resources at the end of this workbook if you’re in need of additional support.
