Drawing Together was founded by Jamie Crooke Powell who serves as the Board President. She is an artist, educator and administrator based in southern California. She graduated from the Otis Public Practice MFA program, has worked as a consultant for the Los Angeles County Department of Education, and has been designing programs with the Pasadena Educational Foundation where she manages district wide programs for thousand of students. Her art practice is comprised of project-based artworks utilizing a service-based model exploring the intersection of urban planning and public health.
